IM a junior in H.S, relatively popular, play many sports, and id like to consider myself good looking. However, ive never had a relationship or any extra curricular activity with a girl. I always hear stories about how my friends makeout with a girl every week and they make it seem really easy but my confidence is too low to get anything started that abruptly. I talk to girls often and ive gotten to become pretty close with some of them, texting everynight and soon and so fourth. What do i have to do to take things to the next step with someone?? When i hear these stories about what my friends do it makes me depressed.

Just bring it up slowly. If they don't seem interested, see if they know anyone who likes you. Trust me, I'm shy too, and freeze up. You're by far not alone when it comes to this stuff.

I would recommend face-to-face flirting before asking her out. From what it sounds like, you are in pretty good shape for dating.
