So I'm in 8th grade and will be a freshman next year. I'm really good at football and love the sport. The only problem is: I weigh 85. Is that too small? I know they are only not going to put me on the field so I don't get hurt, but I can take a hit very well. In one of my classes I got hit so hard that even the tough guys said they couldn't handle it, but I was fine. I play tackle football with my freind who is one of the best players in the school without pads and I have always been fine. Do you think I could handle it? Even if I can, do I wirgh enough to play it?

They're most likely not gonna put you on the field. Your a liability because I'd your weight. It's pretty unbelievable you weigh that little. The least a football player should weigh is about 120 lb. that's the least. It doesn't matter if you can take a few hits from your friend. There are guys who are 200-300 lb. if you were to get hit by guys like those you would probably get a concussion. There are guys on football teams who juice, and trust me, those are guys you wouldn't want to get hit by. You really need to gain a good 40-80 lb. before joining a HS football team.

Depends what position do you want to play?
