I just want to know why people argue against a religion, knowing nothing of it.

I, for one, am all for freedom of religion. My mom raised me in a house that if I wanted to go to a certain church, I was allowed too. Because in my mom's house when she was a child, she was allowed the same choice. And she had always raised me not to bash one's religion, because that religion is important to that person. I feel like exploring religion is really important, also, because if you ever get into a debate about it, you'll have fair background knowledge, instead of just rambling on about something you don't know.

And I see that a lot. A lot of people argue against Christianity without knowing anything actual facts about the religion. I think that isn't fair to the Christians, because you are using your one sided opinion against them. It's also unfair because without proper background knowledge, you'll probably end up calling their religion "Shit" which is rude, extremely rude, and could potentially hurt someones feelings because they hold their religion close to their heart. I know, I don't agree with everything that a religion follows, but I am not here to say it's wrong, because I don't anything about most religions.

I think it is wrong to tell someone with a religion their views on life is wrong, because they were taught that their whole life. Even if it goes against your morals, or your own beliefs. People with religion don't really appreciate being told they are wrong, because in their eyes, that is how God had intended life to be. Now, I don't have a religion at all, but I don't think going around bashing ones religion or views on life, is okay.

I am here to ask you all today, why do you think people do that, argue their one sided opinion against Religion? Or why do they tell people that it is wrong that they have certain views on life?

That's why you get information about what is argued about before arguing.

You answered your own question when you said " it's the way they were taught"
