Shy Girl and Shy Guy

Long story short, I am a relatively shy girl who likes a shy guy at school. We don't really talk much in person, probably because both of us are too shy to make the first move. Over the past few weeks, we have been chatting on Facebook quite a bit. These conversations typically last about an hour, and we talk about mainly personal/deep things, but I have been a bit flirty and he uses a bunch of emoticons.

Anyways, how can I tell if he's interested? If you are a shy guy, what sorts of signals do you send? I know shy people send off different signals and I am not very good at reading people in general.

Well, he probably feels the same way about you, but he's too shy to say anything.
So, I think you should just make the first move, and tell him how you feel about him.
From what you said, I think there is a good chance he likes you too. :)
