I know like a quarter or more of all straight teenagers like to experiment with the same sex, and probably another half wish they could, and the majority know they are in fact straight, there is no confusion. They're just seeing what it's like.

But how many gay people want to experiment with the opposite sex? I'm talking about people who definitely know they're gay, and aren't confused, aren't trying to prove or disprove their sexuality, or trying to force themselves to be straight. Pure curiosity, like the straight experimenting teenagers.

If you're gay, have you ever wanted to experiment with the opposite sex? Or had a gay friend who wanted to? Or even just heard about it? Maybe you've experimented with someone of the opposite sex who was gay?

Based on your definition of it all, I can't say that I have ever wanted to experiment with the opposite sex. Hell, even when I was dating girls and trying to "force myself straight" or "disprove my sexuality", I had no real desire to be with a girl sexually or anything. As friends they're fine and all, but sexually, girls just repulse me. So, no, I've never wanted to experiment with the opposite sex. I'm sure some people have, but it's probably more likely to be because they're trying to prove/disprove their sexuality or are confused rather than out of pure curiosity. Just my two cents on it.

I have definitely never wanted to experiment. I think the reason why it is uncommon if not non-existent, for guys at least, is the fact a mostly "homo" guy who finds themselves sexually attracted to females would be more open to call himself bisexual, while a mostly "hetero" guy who finds themselves sexually attracted to males would more often be more comfortable with the terms "experimenting" or "curious", they have a harder time just calling themselves "bisexual". Seems like to me anyway.

Actually Jess I've never heard of anything like this....My gay friends have no desire to be with a female, nor do I, not even to experiment...I tried to go str8 when I was 13, as I had already realized by that time I was ONLY attracted to guys....when I tried it was a terrible experience....I couldn't get an erection, the girl I was with, although a friend was totally turned off by my non-physical reaction, plus when I saw her naked, I honestly had no desire to touch or do anything....to me, I agree with 'dart' that someone who does feel this would most likely consider themselves "bi" and feel comfortable with either gender
