My opinion: they are bastards
They love to picket, I don't mind that b/c freedom of speech and all, but when they go to funerals and other somber events and dissrupt the atmosphere, especially a soldiers' funeral, they should get punished, it should be deemed a hate group as said in the vt chron.

Now the worst of it all I hear that the WBC is now picketing the sandy hook victims funerals.... That is f*cking pathetic I don't even know what to say! They should burn in hell,

I remember watching a ViCE video on them, the church today it is almost 1 small family as the whole church, the WBC unfortunatly gives the city of westboro a bad name,

I honestly don't see what there is to complain about. If a government gives everyone the freedom of speech and to assemble, then that means they also have the right to do that as well -- as long as they themselves don't break any laws. I hope and pray that they are merely a group who were at first misled by the leaders of this church and are now merely torn between acknowledging the folly of their actions (always hard to do) and continuing to support WBC. Unfortunately, humans tend to actually come to believe things to which they pay lip service. Belonging to the WBC is doubtless spiritually and mentally damaging, and I would urge any member to leave it.

They are a group of people that combine Calvinist and Extreme Baptist views to go against same sex couples. They are notorious for picketing the funerals of gays, fallen soldiers, and widely publicized killings. they mainly picket same sex couples but can also be seen holding anti american signs and stomping on the american flag because according to them god hates fags and fag enablers. I've said this on another forum, and I'll say it here, this group is just unbelievable. They aren't religious people, they're extremists. Religious people don't do this. They might picket gay rights, but they sure as hell don't picket at funerals, especially that of children. Do you know what they've done? Do you know how much more agony the family's of the fallen soldiers at whom funerals they protested at. Calling soldiers "fags" isn't ok. Attempting to protest at little kids funerals is not ok just because they think that God did this as punishment for Connecticut for being a "fag state".
Another thing, I'm catholic, and honestly have no problem with homosexuals. I think it's ok. Why do you think it's ok?

I have found out that several pet-ions from all over the country are coming into Congress to revoke the Westborne Baptist Church as a religious institution and changing them to a hate group. This means that this church will have to pay more taxes and no tax exempts. :D
