How did you take these? Were you like actually there with these animals?
They're very pretty, and I know I would've been so scared to try and get the first shot o.o

These shots were all taken at a wildlife part about a 40 minute drive from home. They are all long lens shots.
The leopard was shot through a thick plate glass window, actually a very dirty one too, so no danger was involved.

Ah, I actually wouldn't have figured that out unless you said otherwise. I had to scroll back up and glance at it again. But now I see the dirtiness on the glass. Still, it's almost as if the dirtiness of the glass has somehow enhanced the photo.
Heh, and the lemurs bring back memories of this:

Oh and nice job capturing this (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nickf93/4052242357/in/set-72157622557162631) one. Nature at its finest. ;) I must know, was it awkward to watch?
Overall, these are really great, Nick. How long have you been into photography?

haha, not sure if those giant tortoises were going to mate, they certainly hadn't got that far when the photo was taken and I didn't stick around to find out.
I had my first (35mm) SLR when I was 11.

Wildlife is awesome. Until you start getting chased by cows and penguins in public domain, trip on a rock and almost shatter your glass.
Good job though, very brave :P
If anything, your images do look a little bit flat. What gear do you shoot with, and do you shoot in RAW?

That shoot was my first outing with a new camera body, Pentax K20D DSLR. The lens was a 200mm Pentax zoom from the 35mm lens range so the effective focal length on the digital body was significantly greater than that. The camera was hand held with no additional support, with such a long lens a few of the shots suffer with traces of camera shake as a result. All photos were shot raw.

Not bad :)
Good ol' Pentax, truly deserve more credit and appeal.
