How to tell someone you like them?

So, I had built up the courage to inform my crush, when it occurred to me I had no idea what to say. My question is: How do I phrase the fact that I like them? Should I just say "I like you", or something else?

I'll put this from experience it took me many tries before I worked up the courage to ask someone out, you don't need any fancy lines just ask her/him out. In the long run it's better overall just to get it out and done with.

To tell that you like them, Txt or message is a good way, but then you HAVE to see them in person soon. Ask them out then.
OR
With him just say.
"Hey, you know, I think I... kinda like you. And I was wondering if you'd like to get some smoothies together or something."
If you say it like you're shy, he'll think it's adorable/cute and he'll like you for it.

i know how you feel. I can work up the nerve to ask anyone out except the one person I really want to. there's a lot more at risk than just being turned down for a date.

I think the best thing to do is just to tell this person how you feel.
Don't just say "I like you" , tell that person why you like/love them, or why you think he or she is special.
