I know it's stupid, but I had a nightmare last night, and it really freaked me out.
I dreamt that for whatever reason, me and my dad got into this guys van, and after a while of driving, he pulls out a steak knife, and pulls the van over, I get stabbed in the base of my left index finger, and we get out and run away. H second half of of the dream is again, for whatever reason, we get into the guys van, but I remember, so when he pulls a knife, I immediately jump out, hanging by the van door, and he throws the knife, I jump, and it slashes all the way down the inside of my left leg, I immediately pull out my iPhone, and while I'm trying to take a picture of the liscence plate, the guy fights me, and we struggle, with me grabbing the hand he has the knife in, I struggle, he says a few odd things, like "draw me a picture", and somehow while I am struggling, we end up in the corner of a library, and he is trying to cut my thumb tendon, says some more indistinct things, says "I'll start thrashing" as a threat, I somehow get the knife out to his hand and now I scream for help, people quickly come and try to help me fight him, he rushes me a few times, I throw books at him, and when I go to kick him, I kick the wall of my bedroom, and wake up. This dream really scared me, what does it mean?

its probably nothing serious
maybe just a series of events that could possibly happen
if this is a reoccuring dream then its possibly your conscience trying to tell you something
my advice to you dont get into any strange vehicles just incase and avoid strange people
i have had dreams similar to this and different scenarios have played out in real life and actually happened to me. but not to worry its probably just your mind playing tricks on you.

I can sympathise, I get horrible dreams.
If it's not PTSD, it could be the result of stress. Get it checked out by a doctor if it continues or if you're sleeping badly.
