I know there are like a million posts about "Abs" and being fit, but I'm 14 and I have a sort of outline of abs but the muscles aren't really defined, how (if possible) can I define my muscles and have Abs, and:

Do you have abs?
How many?
How old are you?
How old we're you when you "got them"?

I'm 13 and I dont think I have any defined abs yet, but not sure what "how many abs" means.

Do a combination of sit ups, crunches, knee raises and plank for 20-30 reps each 3 times a week.

Make sure to be explosive/fast when going into each motion but lower yourself back down slower.

Also, make sure to eat healthy and get rid of excess body fat by simply eating a little less assuming you aren't already but if you are then you just need to build up the muscles.

Do you have abs? Everyone does or else we would not be able to be upright, but yes I do somewhat have my abs showing
How many? Again everyone has technically 8 ab muscles that can show, 6 of mine are visible
How old are you? 15
How old we're you when you "got them"? Always had em' but started showing last year when I started to work out

Might wanna rephrase the questions lol but I get what you meant. :yeah:

As the guy above said, everyone has abs. But the key is making them visible.

Really, the only thing you should focus on (if your wanting just abs) is cardio and eating right. Doing the 80/20 rule is a good way (80% healthy food 20% unhealthy food), you also MUST have a caloric deficit when your wanting visible abs. Doing tons of abdominal workouts won't really do anything if your abs aren't already visible, it's great to do those type of workouts. But it won't benefit you at all if there is a layer of fat covering your stomach. For some guys, they tend to accumulate the most fat around the mid section. I know I do. If you do a hardcore diet for about a month and a half (meaning 90% healthy 10% unhealthy, no processed crap, etc) and your strict with doing high intensity interval training (look it up if you don't know), you could probably have decently visible abs after about a month and a half. This is assuming your at 15% BF (body fat).

You must though, make accessible and realistic goals. If your someone who is at 25% BF (or very overweight in easier terms), it could take you up to a year to get visible abs. 15-18% BF is around average.

I'll warn you right now, if you are only wanting abs. That isn't to good. You should focus on making your whole body look good, not just your upper (arms, pecs, abs) but your lower body too (legs, butt). It would look very funky if someone had a well developed upper body but a lower developed lower body, or vise versa. Also, it's very important to train your chest muscles, because if you have abs you will also want pecs. It looks even weirder if a guy has abs but not chest muscles (pecs) to match.
