They smell. The bigger you go, the worse they smell. I think they're hawt personally, but I made my boyfriend take his out because they really are rank.

Well, first, THEY'RE NOT CALLED GAUGES. *facepalm* Gauges are tools used to measure pressure.

Secondly, I love them, I have them myself.

Thirdly, you are going way to fast. You need to wait a couple of weeks in between. Even if you don't think you do, you do. If you don't you can cause blowouts, where the inside tissue is pushed outside, you can cause tearing and other tissue damage, it will also be painful, and they will take longer to heal, and you will have "cat butt" ears. If by some miracle, you don't get one or all of these, your lobe will be thin which will stop you from going bigger, and if it's really thin, it's at risk of actually breaking in half. That is scary.

So, between stretching wait 3 weeks absolute minimum, your ears will feel loose around the jewellery, that may sound weird, but when you wait long enough you will know exactly what I mean, and it is the healthiest safest time to stretch up a size. Never ever EVER skip a size. Also I'd look into some moisturizing oil like Bio-oil, or there's one specifically for stretched ears called Holey Butter, or something. Your ears might get dried out or excrete a lot of 'ear cheese', which you will get regardless of if you're doing it wrong or right, and it stinks and this moisturizing will help keep them health and soft and reduce the smell. Also, jewelry made from natural materials has been reported to reduce this ear cheese as well, just saying.

From time to time, they will get irritated, don't use any kind of soap on them, just cold or warm water, or if you have a few minutes, take the jewellery out and soak in it boiling water to naturally kill all the germies.

Happy stretching. :)

I personally think gauges are a turn off... I don't mind piercings but not gauges.

Lady* :P

They're just called stretched ears, or plugs or tunnels depending on the jewellery you wear. Closed in ones are plugs, ones that have a hole in the middle are tunnels, ones with the long spike at the back are called tapers, or "stretchers", but wear them as little as possible, because they can contribute to thinning of your lobe. :)
