i have brought this up to my doctor before and he just said if it was ocd in any form, it is a very mild case and everyone has these tendencies. i am just wondering if this actually is a bigger sign of something.
my habits include things like:
i cannot drink the same thing i take pills with. every time a car alarm goes off, i twitch my fingers twice. when i sneeze, i have to do it three times. in my bathroom, my razors always have to be to the right of the tub, and my shampoo always has to be to the left or it does not feel right. if i go out to dinner and i get a sub, all the meat has to be inside the sub or else i feel sick while eating it.
is this a sign or is it just the normal tendencies like most people have?

I think your doc's right. It doesn't seem severe enough to warrant a diagnosis of OCD and I doubt that it interferes significantly with the way you live life, apart from feeling sick or the feeling that something isn't right, that is.

you are right, it does not significantly interfere with my life. the doctor always tells me that if it gets worse, come back and he will do tests.
everyone in my family believes it is abnormal. no one else has tendencies like that.

Like others have said, I don't think it's a big enough issue for you to be diagnosed with OCD. If it gets in the way of your life, possibly. I think it's the way you life life - no worries. But if it DOES get out of hand - see a doctor! They can put you in line and tell you if you have OCD or not. :)

Yeah, I have OCD too, and I know what you are talking about.

You have OCD.
