Just a few minutes ago, my mom noticed that I drew shadowhunter runes on my arm like tattoos and she started questioning them and she said, "Writing on your body is ugly and not right" and now I am thinking how much she will hate me if I confess that I'm, 1. gay, 2. athesit, and 3. getting a bunch of tattoos and piercings when I'm older.. she seems religious now, which I never really seen her make any refrence like that til now which discourages me to come out to my parents, though I already have to my friends/ school a long time ago. I now fear that if I do come out, they are going to hate me. I have a friend who is gay and his parents treat him like shit and ignore him and pretend he doesn't even exist just because he is gay.

Well i can see how your a little stuck. Realisticly you cant hide from them forever. But you should really do what you think is right. If you really are uncomfortable about telling them now, then dont. But if you think you should and you think it's the right thing to do, then just do it and face it for what it is.

As someone in a very similar situation, I think that you should wait. Especially with the bod mod thing, since you haven't actually gotten them yet. Being in the closet is difficult. It makes you feel like a criminal sneaking around, but if you honestly believe that your mother will react badly to you coming out then it is better to feel like a criminal sneaking around than someone in prison being taunted.
Think about these things for a minute: you know your mother. How do you think she will react? What is the worst thing she can say or do? Even if she doesn't agree with your sexuality, she will still have to live with it.
I hope you end up happy no matter what you choose.

cool I love the mortal instrument series:) umm about the coming out thing... if your parents... are against it then don't tell them till your older... I made that mistake and now I live with my grandmother... do what you want to do... its better that you let them find out about you being gay on tier own.
