HOW DO YOU TURN THIS ANNOYING FUCKING GARBAGE OFF

Every time I quote someone or get quoted I get a notification. It's the dumbest thing to ever happen to this website.

Yeah, I feel the exact same way.
I don't think you can turn quote notifications off though.

You can't disable it.

I'm starting to think that it should probably be removed. I used to think it would be a good feature, now not so much.

Wait, what happened tonight?

I thought there was an option to turn it off in the User CP, but I couldn't find it, so I must have just been imagining it.

Seems like there's a lot of quoting going on in the Connecticut school shooting thread.

Yes, I've just seen it. That thread is a mess.

In the thread "Connecticut 'gunman dead' after US school shooting" there is a big ass argument going on about guns and shit, BIG ASS argument, and when someone replies to somebody else's post, they usually quote them.
And the OP is pissed because he's gotten a shitload of quote notifications from that thread ( I assume that's why he's pissed about quote notifications ).

I agree with Dino Troll I like it but for those that don't there should be a way to disable it

There just needs to be a disable option. I'm guessing there never was one that came with the mod, right? :/

As much as I love this notification thing, I still think a disable option would be useful, if at all possible.

Just to clarify, I know what Bo meant (Deadpie is OP of this thread) ... I'm the OP of the shootings thread (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=161083) and I don't have a problem with the quotes feature. I can see why a disable option might be nice for those that don't like it.

I find that the quote feature is very nice. I mean...it takes two seconds to click on the notification.

I mean you guys made countless threads about a quote notification and now you want to get rid of it?

An option to disable it would be just peachy keen in my anus.

This is the only solution.

I love the post quote notifications, and now that we have them I would HATE to see them go away. A feature to turn it off would be the best way to go about things. Or maybe turn it off for certain threads?

There would be an option for you guys to disable it if it existed. The reason why the feature was not added for so long was because a good enough mod could not be found -- but you guys wanted it so badly so we added this one. This mod is not perfect because it does not have an option for individual users to disable it; but keep in mind that this is what you guys wanted.

If the general consensus wants it removed then we'll do what needs to be done; but don't ask for it back once it's gone...

The mod author would have to add the feature

If there isnt a way for one person alone to disable it then I guess its fine. It's usually not annoying 99% of the time anyway.
