So my old iPad I trusted pretty well when it came to the Internet. But I'm kinda worried about this new iPad because of Siri and the Social media integration. Is privacy good with the Retina display iPad? Does Siri have a history of what you wanted Siri to do? If I were to have my FaceBook integrated with my iPad, would I have to be worried that porn sites make advertisements for my FB without permission? I am always so paranoid because I'm worried that if I go to some porn site, they'll, without permission, put an ad on my FB saying something about that site I have visited. Any encouraging advice? If i use the Clear Cache, History, etc button in the Safari options, will that remove every single trace of me going on a porn site? Like, I've always (even with the old iPad 2) been worried that if I go on some porn site, and I do the Safari's Clear history, cache, etc option, somehow, someone will find out what sites I have been to. Is using that option full proof, so no one can find a trace? What about the In Browsing Privacy option, would that keep me safe from others finding what sites I go to? Cause, like, I only watch Gay porn. So if someone found out, it would be detrimental, and 100x worse than straight porn. So I really have to make sure no one finds out.

Why the porn site should put it's banner to another apps? Also, iOS has impenetrable security system. If the device is not jailbroken, of course. If you google for porn, it saves all your searches, not depending which device you are using to browse internet. If you have Google account, all your searches are saved into the account. And it is possible to get your search history: http://history.google.com/history/

The retina is just the display, as I've already said in past posts. And yes, it's fool proof for people that are using the iPad and haven't got it hooked to a computer. If you really do that, you shouldn't really let anyone use your iPad. If you know the consequences of what could happen, why would you still watch porn?

You think an app will somehow find out your Facebook password and then publish it? Really?
No. That's not possible, and apps will only publish to Facebook with a login prompt.

If you did a simple google search (which I say in practically all of your threads now, but you still don't seem to.), Siri DOES NOT record history. Apple used to collect anonymous (opt in) usage for iPhone 4S's but since Siri is now becoming wider used, nothing is recorded.

On a side note;
Why is it that practically every thread I've seen from you in TJP, it's about porn?

If you're so paranoid to make 8+ different threads asking people how to delete history, and now this, you really should learn that NOT watching porn is the safest way.

EDIT: And just another note. There's one simple way of sorting out ALL of your problems. Just download Google Chrome on every device that you watch porn on (probably all of them) and use InCognito browsing. It's so simple, but you're making it seem so difficult.

These topics are ridiculous, and you always ignore the information presented in replies in favour of misinformation. If you have an iPad you should be too busy playing with it than worrying about this.

pick a device, use it, then go to settings and delete your history and cookies and shit... not that complicated or necessary to worry over...

It is absolutely 100% IMPOSSIBLE to have a completely private browser. Somewhere, everything you searched is in a database, which is used by law enforcement as references for things in trials.

Don't worry about it. Watch all the porn you want. And either way, who cares? Everyone looks at porn, and if they say they don't, they are either lying, or don't have hands.

Using a google product is probably the WORST way to protect your privacy no matter what. Google still records as much data about you as they can even if you don't want or ask them not to. All other browsers have private modes (that have been there even before google's POS chrome came out) and are actually a lot more useful, integrating anti-tracking technology too.

The reason I mentioned Google Chrome is because it's one that I know that can be downloaded on all of his devices. And if Google really records everything, prove it. Has Google actually done anything to you? Can you speak from personal experience. I doubt so.

Actually, Google does record everything you do. It's a safety measure. However, they don't turn over pirates, porn viewers, etc. and they don't use it against you. They will record it though if you do something that needs investigating. It's a risk every Google user will have, but do I care? No. I don't plan on doing anything in my lifetime to leave me under Google's thumb.

Everybody is tracking you. Every major web company, that is. Lots of it happens behind the scenes or appears innocent.
Google has their Analytics, Adsense, and "+1" buttons on many sites.
Facebook's "like" button appears all over the place.
Various advertising companies and their advertisers know a lot about your browsing your habits.
Apple most likely tells HQ what you're up to at what time.

All of these things are embedded into most web pages. You are a valuable product to them -- that's right, you are nothing more than some numbers in a database with a price tag attached. A rather large one, too, depending on how much they know about you.
That information is sold, processed, sold again, and used for whatever evil purposes the receiving third party wishes.

So yes, there is a lot of information stored about you. And this isn't specific to Apple devices, either. Every computer with an internet browser has this problem. And while you thought that logging out would make Facebook forget who you are, that's completely false. They still know who you are, you just don't know it.

Internet privacy on your average consumer device is a joke. There is simply no such thing.
You could consider using a proxy, which is probably the safest way.
