Anyway, I can understand why you are mad. When I first joined this site, I got neg rep over simple things like making a suggestion and other things like that and it pissed me off. I made a few threads about the rep system and how I thought it was unfair. In fact a lot of members on this site make threads like that when they are new. I can sympathize with you on how rep can be annoying and how the system works.

The rep system is highly abused by some members.

However dude you went about this the entire wrong way. Insulting our admins isn't going to make anything better. Its going to just make you look worse. Our admins are fair and very nice people even though sometimes they may look scary :) If you got unfair reputation then you could just Private Message an admin and explain to them the whole rep thing and they'd decide if the neg reps were given unfairly/unjustifiably.

If I am being honest with you. With the amount of rep threads and the way it gets horribly abused by some people these days. I'd be very happy if they just removed the entire system. I know I have defended it before but honestly the amount of abusers and people who give stupid and horrible comments via the system and partake in "rep farming" as its known now a days it would be great if we just tossed the system out the window.

As for creating another account I would suggest not doing that as it would be found. Can I also add that even if you had 8 blocks of red rep then you would not be banned. You'll never be banned just for having red rep.

ok so to my now known attention. it turns out that if some has more rep then u then they can take more then one rep and now thanks to that unfair stupid and childish rule i got another neg rep and im now at -40 points which means now agains thanks to the stupid admins rules if i get anymore i will most likely be banned. so heres my god dam question for dumb admins, why do u have a stupid rep point system like that anyways?

any other forum site iv ever bin on doesnt use a stupid rule like that, you just simpley post whatever u want and have your say. but if an admin on that site doesnt think its right then u will get a pm from one.

I have no idea where you get the idea that you get banned for having too much neg rep, but you are seriously misinformed.

Really? Most of the people I know on this site who have high rep, don't abuse it at all. Especially the ones with astronomical rep power. But I'll agree, many newer members negrep over trivial things. It happens and you kind of have to deal with it. Either laugh it off or report it if you feel it's unfair.

There are some people who use rep in strange or unfair ways, or because they don't understand or have misread what you've written. When it is used innappropriately, for example to bully and intimidate, I can tell you from personal experience that the admins here are excellent at dealing with it and very concerned about that sort of behaviour. Report it as advised above.

If it helps you, I almost left VT recently after being upset over something similar (that coincided with some real life shit) and the VT community really came through for me (admins, mods and members included). You'll always get idiots, but there are lots of great people on this site.

This is supposed to be a safe and comfortable place of teens. If someone is persistently using rep or any other tactics to make you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, then their behaviour will not be tolerated by the admins.

If people are judging you based on rep, that's their problem. Without or without high rep, you're still going to be posting whatever it is you feel must be said. It's just if they read it or not, which also happens both ways with or without high rep.

It's just pixelated blocks with a number over it. Really, not too big of a deal. And if you feel abused, tell a mod. They're capable and do remove it if it's abused.

The rep powers here have been allowed to get to high, I've posted about this elsewhere and honestly believe it to be unhealthy. The system becomes skewed and people, like the OP in this thread, can have seriously bad experiences as a result. When people are openly posting about "rep farming" it kind of proves that the system is being abused. At the end of the day it is unfair that any one user can take hundreds of rep points off of another, or award hundreds of points on a swap with friends basis.

What did you honestly think you were accomplishing with that post? All you have done is insult me and the other members of this site. I don't appreciate you speaking like that to any member here and if I see another post even remotely similar to this one an infraction will be issued. If you expect to ever be treated with respect and if you ever want to be taken seriously, this is not the way to do it.

There is clearly an issue with reputation and it is not being ignored by the administration; but when extreme amounts of immaturity and irrational insults are being thrown into the equation it makes the situation worse. We discussed your issue with rep privately and I explained my answers to your questions respectfully and accordingly. If this is what happens every time something doesn't go your way then I'm not sure what to tell you because I showed you nothing but respect in the brief conversation we had.
