NOT HATING OR ANYTHING

modern pop music is all too same. people can create huge mashup because they all sound the same, are made in the same key, and well in general are the same(with a couple exceptions): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If5MF4wm1T8&feature=g-hist

I really don't know what you are trying to do there.

Okay?

a) This isn't true for all pop music
b) Who cares? If the music you like doesn't get big, enjoy that fact. Small shows are more fun, intimate, and better (in my opinion). You can't have small shows with bands that have a big name.

I agree with most of what you're saying here, but why does it affect you? Just do what I do and become a total recluse who couldn't name a song on the pop radio station if s/he tried and has no idea who the big bands are today. (Isn't it some Fun Direction thing now?)

There are lots of pop music records that doesn't sound the same, you might want to take a better look before you start complaining :)
Although I do agree with you a little bit, some songs sound exactly the same as other songs.

i am talking about mainstream pop music, like the things you hear on the radio.

its annoying because i everywhere i go i hear the same songs, and being a musician, i hear the same melodies over and over again, even if they are different tempo and pitch.

*that moment when OP has never heard of /r/music*

LOL THIS THREAD RULES. One person brings up one view in response and everyone replies with the same view! Now if someone first replied saying "Yeah pretty much and now they're making it into dubstep electropop electrohouse club junk" I think many people would agree. I don't know... just my theory.

I do agree though. It's all about $$$$$$ and music that takes ZERO effort to be focused on. You go in your car, stupidly put the radio on and be a zombie to the new Rihanna and Kesha wubwubwub party in the club i'm gonna get so drunk stuff. It's the same with the alternative rock stations too. All of it is about $$$$$$ and making imo even dumber shit.

I mean do people really sit down, put their fist against their chin, ponder to the sky and analyze the new will.i.am album. WHO THE FUCK DOES THAT? The same people who probably thought sitting down reading the hardcover Snooky autobiography was the most emotional read of their life.

MISANTHROPY MISANTHROPY MISANTHROPY.
