Anyone else addicted to working out/ lifting? If so, what kind of workouts do you do, how much can you lift and what body type do you have (ectomorph, endomorph, mesomorph)?

I'm totally addicted to working out. My max right now is 125 benching, and 180 squating. Normally, it's a mix between pushups, running, situps, and pullups, plus going on the machines. I'm a mesomorph.

I'm not really addicted to the gym, but I do have this thing where I can't stop moving. Even now, I'm sitting behind my laptop moving back and forth because if I'm not moving around and using my body then I just... I dunno. I do work out basically every day, and I always use high intensity. I love it but I hate it... I'm probably hooked. I dunno what my body type is. It's the ugly type.

I am fully focused on aerobics for cutting right now. So I sometime do some weight lifting, with different muscle groups on different days, and I don't use heavy weights - just less than 30 pound.

I can't build muscle or lose fat at the same time with full efficacy.

Not counting school sports, I'm at the gym 3 days a week (4+ hrs/week) and the pool 4 days (~4hours/week). I mix up what I do and split my gym time 50/50 aerobic/resistance training, and one of the pool days is mostly just a fun (the others are club training sessions) and have a complete rest day once a fortnight or so. I'm an ectomorph.

I don't go to the gym but at home I lift weights sometimes and do general exercises... And i do sprinting twice a week (i got invited to nationals but didn't go) even though I should be doing more of sprinting if I want to improve...
It takes me forever to get motivated but once you feel the burn of lifting or the adrenaline I don't want to stop

I'm not addicted but I am in the gym at least three times a week currently on BL's Starting Strength program.

I weight like 135

Bench -140ish (going for 180 for the summer)

Deadlift - In the 200s but havent tried to go for a max

Squat - only starting it this week so I'll update this when I know

Also, unless you have had a scan done to show the size of your bones and whatnot you can't know if you are an ecto, meso or endomorph so it is pointless asking in my opinion.

Body type doesn't mean a whole lot as everyone can basically achieve the same thing with hard work.

Wow your gym sounds boring. My gym has cute guys, loads of TV screens and a great variety of equipment. Also no pollution, bad weather or cows (don't ask).

I hate going to gyms. I'm too weak and can't lift anything, and when I get out I'd be half dead.

I ran BL SS a little while ago for about 6 months, good program I would of stuck with it for a little longer but I just got bored of it, plus I couldn't deadlift due to a injury which sucked. :/ good luck man.

Very unhealthy thing to be i must say. I have just recently completed my course and have successfully become a fully qualified personal trainer/gym instructor through the Australian Institute Of Fitness. And i have to say, i don't recommend going to the gym every day for multiple hours at a time.

You need to give your body ample time to rest and recover before returning to the gym for another workout. Doms can set in (Delayed onset muscle soreness) if you are leaving to short a break between workouts, and serious injury can occur, i have seen it several times already in my short career.

Make sure to top up on protein after a workout, to help restore muscle fibers, and ideally, leave about 48 hours between workouts if you are a beginner/intermediate.

Maximum results will be achieved by leaving ample time to rest and restore the body, and by mixing up your exercise program and by changing sets/reps, intensity, time and weight. Not just by visiting the gym every 3 seconds.

I'm not going to say i am an absolute expert, but i am trained in this field and that would be my educated advice, and is so to the clients i currently have, and i have received no complaints as of yet.

Yes i guess im addicted, but it's more of a lifestyle. I've been doing it for a while now. I'm not trying to become a powerlifter, so basically my main focus is on bodybuilding. I weight about 70kg (154lbs), and benchpress a 100kg (220lbs). My program consist of 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b workouts. Group 1 being low repetitions, and 2 being a bit higher repetitions. The "a" and "b" represent muscle groups, wich have been divided in two, so each group is basically being worked out twice a week.
