I really need help with quitting cigarettes. I have a job so i always have money for cigarettes but I need to quit smoking because I have asthma and I'm approaching a surgery that's is being done in a month for my ear cause I have cholastatoma and smoking can affect it. I really wanna stop but I'm addicted to them I've been smoking for 6 7 or 8months now and I need to stop because I will also get grounded when I've already been caught with weed an all my smoking weed supply's like pipe and grinder and the cigarettes but I told my mom I didn't smoke so I can't get caught. I usually smoke cigarettes with my friends as a social smoker but I need to stop

Well, you can try nicotine gum, suck on suckers, read books, talk to your doctor (patient confidentiality so he can't tell your parents) GOOD LUCK!!!!

I suggest you to talk to your doctor and tell him that u want to start a smoking cessation programme.. he can help u in that

Lol if you don't wanna be addicted then stop now. Ive been smoking for 3 or 4 years and it's really not good for you. Quitting is really hard for me now too. You should stop because it seems like you don't even smoke that much so do it while it's easy

You'll laugh, but not only is hypnotism in general a real thing (I've some stories I could tell...), but therapeutic hypnotism is great when combined with other treatments.

"From now on, you will not want to smoke" doesn't work, but "from now on, instead of smoking, you will always use a patch" can.

Talk to your doctor and get a patch/nicotine gum and it shouldn't be too hard.

There also is no social smoking with cigs, they are just nasty and do not even get you "high" I hate when people say that.

Weed is a social drug NOT cigs lol since when do people go and have cigarette smoking hangouts.

to be honest with you i used to smoke and i was a social smoker but when i kinda stoped goin out with my friends as much as i used to i never got the temptation to smoke where as when i was with them outside of school i always did :L

I'm impressed that you can even buy them. get rid of the ability to light them and you'll be fine.

Lots of people want to quit smoking. As well as going to your doctor, look on the internet for forums for people who want to quit and you can get support.
What you're doing is good, and strong, good luck :)
