This game was amazing, I at first didn't even want to get it, I thought I was done with CoD and thought I was going to see a really bad campaign, but the campaign is actually really plausable and amazing compared to Mw3 (Mw3 campaign started off ok and went downhill with some little ups and downs)
My personal scores would be:
Campaign: 96/100
Guns: 80/100
Multiplayer: 88/100
Good graphics, great sound
Overall: 90/100

Honestly,

I find the game playable and better than MW3 but not all that impressed. The Campaign and Zombies is excellent. The story was interesting and I liked the multiple endings with in game choices effecting the overall ending.

However the multiplayer is good and enjoyable but becomes dull pretty fast. I have played I think about 30-40 odd hours of multiplayer and while I enjoy it. The game has lost interest and the fact the game is always at one pace, which is fast the game does become pretty repetitive constantly.

I am satisfied with the video game. Treyarch has certainly put in a lot of effort into presenting an excellent video game - unfortunately, the weapons in Multiplayer appear a little too overpowered. The campaign is excellently produced and the Multiplayer maps are fairly large. The Zombies is as impressive as ever. I am slightly disappointed by their presentation and glitches in the PC platform, but I suppose the problems will be solved soon. Multiplayer presents an every so exciting tension in the area of where you are but it subsides as you eventually get used to the video game.

Overall rating - 8/10

I hope Treyarch goes on to make Call of Duty games.

That's the only thing I can say.

Do you feel they are overall, the better makers of the call of duty series?

Infinity ward at first was better but now treyarch overtook them,

I haven't bought or played the game, but from all the friend's I've talked to it seems like the only reason to buy the game is for Zombies, because the multiplayer is extremely similar to the last 4 Cod games. Some people liked the campaign too but others never even bothered playing it.

Its not too similar but I kno what you mean though, they need to shuffle around the choices and add more creative options, there is a 3 team TDM tht a sign of improvement and more ppl are doing the actual multiplayer objectives so the game speed itself is faster

Well of course overall IW did the most of the job. But the thing is they became extremely repetitive after some point. I think their decline began after making CoD4 (now that statement excludes CoD4 of course, Gaz FTW)

Treyarch tried to change the gameplay, add something new with each and every Call of Duty game they made.

In Call of Duty 3 you had many unique actions such as rowing or 1vs1 fist fight, or planting a bomb by pressing the according buttons. These are minor things of course but I think they add a small bit of colour. Also as I recall it is the first Call of Duty game to offer more than one path to the objective.

Call of Duty 5 added the Pacific Front, Banzai charges, Reznov and the Zombies series. I don't need to add anything new I guess.

Black Ops and BOps 2 added brand new perspectives and brand new types of storylines: I don't bother to list all of their features but I think you guys know what I mean.

If anyone ever finds a spreadsheet of every statistic in the multiplayer weapons system, let me know so I can interrogate it. I haven't found a standout yet, but I'm searching.

I agree, I have always believed that Trayrch are the trend setters and that they bring the most --new content-- to the market. Whereas infinity ward do nothing really to make the game "stand out" they just add in a few new features that aren't all that great and call it a new game.

I really dislike Black Ops 2 - so much so, for the past two weeks I've been back on MW3. I really dislike the multiplayer and I'm disappointed with the zombies because I liked the BO1 format of having one big map rather than 3 small ones linking through to each other. I think I feel that the game just hasn't lived up to the expectations unfortunately.

The maps for multiplayer are very poor, in my opinion, and the killstreaks are equally bad along with the fact that specialist strike packages from MW3 have not been implemented. I'll give it another go when I feel like it, but for now MW3 undoubtedly has my vote. Sorry, Treyarch, but I'm unimpressed with this game - although I respect the innovation to try something new.

Completely took the words out of my mouth... Except I will add that campaign is amazing. Treyarch have done amazingly in that aspect of the game.
