Just out of curiosity, how long have you guys owned your console? I've had mine for at least 4 years now and still works great. I read online that a lot of people had theirs RROD on them within a couple months or a year. What I'm really asking is do you guys take care of your console like I do? Do you dust it now and then or move it around a lot? Just to avoid the RROD?

I've had mine since it first came out, way back when. I've never actually had a problem with it, considering my brother's had RROD during the first year it's strange. I clean it whenever I clean my room really, and I always have it laying down flat. I know people that keep their's upright but that can cause RROD too.

I've had mine for about 10 months. I bought it from a kid who got a PS3 for his birthday. All the people who constantly complain about RRODs and other problems must just be unlucky, because I haven't had any problems with it.

Most of the time I lay mine flat cause I have careless people in my house, and I rearrange the position of my Xbox and TV now and then so that's my opportunity to dust it off. I want to get the new Xbox but it won't be right away probably when it's not popular anymore lol.

I don't have an Xbox 360 but my friend does and he said the only time he has ever had a problem with his xbox was when he first got it. It turned out he had a faulty xbox and got it returned and then he has never had a problem. I think he has had it for about 2 years now maybe longer. Time does fly.

I've had mine since 2009, but my brother got his back in 2005 when it first came out. Newer consoles, generally after 2006 won't RROD as often if ever really. It's because they overheated and had a horrible cooling system when they first made them. We still have our orig white xbox pro and it still works fine, but we don't use it, we've since gotten three more, one for each of us. I have mine stand up and it works fine, i've had it on its side also, I don't notice a difference. Just make sure it doesn't get dusty and you'll be fine.

I got mine for Christmas when I was in 7th grade so that means that it's been about 2 years. I have probably moved it around about 20 times weather Im re arranging my room or im taking it to someone els's house. I also have it sitting flat. Oh, and ive never cleaned it but still manage not to get the red ring. I use it a lot. I use it for tv. (Netflix) I use it for video games. I also use it as a computer. Im actually using it as a computer now. :D

I have no idea what this RROD is. :P I've had mine for a few months, but I bought it second-hand, so far no problems.. except for trying to move it while it was on and scratched the shit out of a disk. lol.

scratched the shit out of a disk. lol.
Maybe I'm just slow, but what's so funny about having to replace a $40 disk?

My brother got his with a Reach preorder, limited edition type thing. It had RROD about four or five months ago. It works now, somehow. It's pretty good for an Xbox. I don't have a console of my own though.
