Does anyone besides me always have the want to be bigger and stronger than all your friends? Like you want to be the most masculine? Because I have always been like this and i wanted to know if anyone else was.

I think most boys do in a way - thats why they gym train or train at sports.

Then just when youve all done killed yourself in the gym or running or pool

You see a guy maybe younger or older whos like so developed - you do sit ups get a nice six pack the some guys got an 8 - or broader shoulders -

I do heaps of farm work so lifting bales and bags of feed and shifting sheep etc builds muscle and stamina

I guess its testosterone - body image - thing.

I think everyone is always wanted to be the biggest and the strongest among there friends. But we can't always be what we want.

No, I don't.

I'm 5'4, and really don't have this longing to be one of the ripped jocks or anything.

For me, it's because I think that persona would take you over, and become who you are, in other people's eyes.

Like, for example. Say you're six feet, and 15. When people meet or see you, what's the first thing they're going to think? "Hey, look at that really tall kid..."
They'll see you are a physical attribute, and likely, nothing more. And that doesn't appeal to me. If someone's going to get to know me, it shouldn't be because of physical appearance.

Kind of like the following quote:

That's always seemed so ridiculous to me, that people want to be around someone because they're pretty. It's like picking your breakfeast cereals based on color instead of taste.

I'm pretty small, but I never wanted to be more masculine or stronger. I wish I were taller though.

Yeah, that's pretty normal to feel that way.
I don't need to wish though because I already am ;) :P

I'm not really tall, i'm like 5'8 or 5'9, but i'm muscular/buff and shit from when I used to exercise and lift weights a lot.

So yeah, if you want that to happen, just start exercising and weight lifting, and it will happen.
Most of your physique has to do with your genetics though.

I do. I'm trying to take pride in who i am but that's the reason i work out and stuff - to be bigger and stronger. Parents always say to just be proud of how i am.

I'm like 6'1 or 6'2 and I guess I'm so used to hanging out with shorter people so I hate when I'm with people a lot taller than me. I don't care if other people are more masculine or stronger than me. My height and "unfriendly" appearance prevent me from getting into dangerous situations. I mostly talk my way out of everything. I don't work out but I'm naturally pretty big. I can understand for those not as tall how they want to feel stronger.

I mean not really. There's at least one thing you're better at than your friends I bet...

I didn't want to be stronger or bigger until I got to college. In high school I was friends with a lot of girls and now I have a lot of guy friends. I've noticed that once I left that "female dynamic," there's more of that primal need to be the alpha male. I absolutely hate it, because it's like a never ending competition of who can be the manliest. And since I'm a pretty small guy, that puts further pressure on me to be the strongest. It sucks.

Yeah but what i noticed from it is the good part no one will mess around with you or try start a fight, but when your friends are in trouble they use your name and start saying if you touch me my friend will kick your head in or if fighting expect you to help them.
But does feel better that you have control
