He probably doesn't think you're gay unless you're really flamboyant. I honestly wouldn't even bother worrying about it unless he starts hitting on you. People check out other people all the time. Take it as a compliment instead of worrying about it.

Yeah no need to confront it if he is just checking you out. If it gets uncomfortable for you and you are getting the impression he thinks you are gay, or if he tries to make a move then just let him know you aren't really interested.

Be happy that someone is probably attracted to you! If he asks you out or flirts with you to where it makes you uncomfortable, make sure you let him down gently, it's a hard enough world for us as it is.

Well I would say just ignore it :) but if he tries anything then that is when you make it clear that your are not gay and definitely not interest!

You need not do anything. He may just be a friendly guy or just may want to try get to know you. Either way I wouldn't worry. If he were to approach you as a gay person all you need do is to tell him that you are not gay or curious and that should take care of that.
