After Christmas most of us are probably gonna think about applying for college or sixth form. I really can't be asked to do more class work for another two years, so I think I'm gonna go college.
I just wanted to see what everyone else is gonna do net year? :)

I know in the US most apply to college in the early Fall/end of Summer. My brother applied in August, Sept, Oct. then got back from schools rolling from then. I don't know of a college that for freshmen does apps around this time aside from the lesser schools.

I just want to get a couple of A levels or something then go to music college. I'll go to a 6th form college probably

I'm staying at my school's sixth form centre, it's too far and awkward to go to the nearest college, plus I'm doing A Levels in English Language, English Literature, Sociology and Psychology which all just run at my school anyway. And I'll get to stay with most of my friends, whilst still making new ones :D

I'm in year 13 so this doesn't apply to me but just thought I'd throw it out there that you're going to have to do work wherever you go if you want any qualifications

Oh God, A-level English. Dark, twisted.. you'll love it! haha :D

OP, have you considered if you really are ready to go to college? It's a one way decision you really need to put a lot of thought into, especially if you're moving out of home.

I chose sixth form because academically it would prove most satisfying, (Just finished the first term) and I must say that it's generally good.

Perhaps rather than block categorising which would be best for you, researching the different colleges and sixth forms in your area to find out what courses they offer and which will be best for you, I would really work of your GCSE predicted grades in terms of courses.

I strongly urge you to not consider what your friends are doing because following them won't necessarily be the best for you.

Hope this helps, if you need any more advice just PM me, having gone through the process I like to think I'm pretty savvy on the subject :P

Btw, could you tell us your predicted grades and subjects and what you are considering studying?

I've handed my application in for sixth-form. Physics, chemistry, maths & further maths... loads of people say that I will die with those options but they are necessary for my uni course

This this this.

Guys A levels are not an easy ride, you have to work to do well. I chose my sixth form because of the range of subjects it offered, how it had high achieving pupils and it was a nice setting and a brand new environment, enabling me to meet loads of new people :)
