My step sister is on anti depressants and smokes all the time, she doesn't have any issues. Smoking actually helps her, as it brings her out of the zombie-like state anti depressants can sometimes put you in.

Smoking pot cause paranoia and anxiety and both of which are side effects of depression and you are taking antidepressants so you are messing with the chemical balance of it which will counteract the affects of antidepressant since pot has been proven to cause depression and you will be developing serious psychosis!

Weed is prescribed to treat depression and general anxiety. I seriously doubt it causes it.

And it also can lead to symptoms of anxiety, such as panic, in the short-term, but there is a lack of evidence pointing to marijuana as an important risk factor for anxiety disorders

marijuana should be avoided if a person has an existing mental health issues!

I guess I was lucky I've smoked pot once since I've been on Psyc. meds it didn't have that kind of effect on me

I don't reccommend it. Nothing may happen and everyone says its safe but who knows, you may be that one person it does effect. One of the above posters mentioned it; it throws off the balance the anti depressents are trying to create. Why chance it?
