so earlier today i was chatting with a female friend on facebook and when i told her that i know a person who i originally thought was Lesbian came out and said she was Bi. but since my female friend is bi, she thought i was talking about her, even though i made it clear i wasn't. her final comment was "never talk to me again", but i highly doubt she knows how to block on FB. but how can i regain this friendship?

Just say you're sorry ( even though you had good intentions ).
Tell her that you weren't trying to offend her, you were just trying to help her out, tell her you weren't trying to offend or upset her.

I hate to admit that fake apologies work but they do. Try apologising first and also reason with her. Tell her your side of the story. Don't do this via facebook chat. If she refused to talk to you in person then send her a long and detailed message on facebook. Sound sympathetic and reasoning and explain fully what happened.
Sometimes in the heat of the moment people overreact which is what your friend did. She never gave you a chance to explain. So explain and apologise and sound reasoning. Try to do it in person but if you can't then send her a long and detailed message via facebook.

Give her time to cool off. You say you stated you weren't speaking about her, so she knows that but she's too pissed off to see it.
Let her calm down. Trying to prove/tell her she was wrong will only piss her off even more.
