Homophobics make me so angry

my school is really homophobic and some people say such terrible things to people who may or may not be gay/bi and they r so mean. I know this one guy who is a complete retard utter republican who sprouts anything and everything that comes to his ignorant mind. I just don't see what the big deal is to people. I like people for who they are not what they like. Sorry just needed to rant about that:D

Also I can provide some hope. You're 13 and are around a young, immature age group. The good news is that as you get older, you get around crowds that are more accepting. Of course nowhere near complete acceptance, but it improves.

Homosexuality isn't considered "the norm" by many therefore some people naturally reject something that they aren't used to or think is wrong, for "moral' reasons or religious reasons.

I think homosexuality will be better excepted in the future... I mean look how long it took for blacks to prove they're like everyone else... And they're still fighting an uphill battle, faced with prejudice everyday. But as Ant said, everyone in your age group, and even in mine, are still immature and think its funny to make fun of the minority or the outcasts. Its not nice, but they see it as funny, they don't care if it hurts other people's feelings. I support all sexualities, I think you should have the freedom to go out with and have sex with who ever you want regardless of gender, although I am pretty sure I'm straight.

Anyways, I think that people who bash gays is unfair. I mean, in a post on this site, it says what would happen if we werent grow up to know to be attracted to legs, breasts, and butts? I think gays should have the equal opportunity to be happy as we supposedly "straight people" (gay does mean HAPPY btw) So pay no mind to these people, because they were probably brought up in a situation that made them hate gays, where as most people here have no problems with it. I find homosexuality ok, I think gay marriages are ok but gay adoption is wrong. but anyone who slags off gays at our school I think are actually gonna turn out gay because some of them seem to be kinda too "chummy" with there mates..I shouldnt make accusations on them but they really upset me because my mate is gay and school to him is like torture cause of the bullying he gets.

I think the real issue here is hate, discrimination, and intolerance, pure and simple. Somehow, there's actually room in *some* circles to promote intolerance and discrimination, 'Just' because it's 'Only' with homosexuals. As if it's more acceptable to do this. It's not. Gays are human beings. It's not ok to treat any human with disrespect.

Hatred, discrimination, intolerance, directed towards anyone for any reason is simply despicable and never justified. There are ways of privately dealing with whatever personal issues or feelings you might have without hurting someone else. If people were made aware of the false distinction between intolerance 'only' towards gays, it might be a little more difficult for them to justify it.

Think about this. The only sin about being gay, according to the bible is, gay sex. Because, and this is according to the bible not neccesarily my opinion or belief, god created sex to be face-face with the lover. Which also means that anal and oral sex between male-male or male-female or female-female etc. is also a sin. So I disagree with your point about "Adam and Steve."

At one point in time they did try to ban blacks and whites from getting married. So in the not so distant future people will probably be more accepting of gays.

Whats wrong with republicans. Im a republican but I am Pro-gay marriage. My school is homophobic as well. Why does it bother people so much. Its like racism, just cause someone is different, they are treated different. This is wrong and corrupt.

... it was never a free country.. if you look at the history.. women, blacks, children and gays have always been oppressed .. its only been recently that some of the groups have been given chances and the sole reason for that is because the leaders of the minorities that did overcome this were very persistent and somehow were lucky enough to make this a big deal to the press.. with gays it is starting and hopefully will continue on the same path as the other minorities..
