So I'm getting a Macbook Pro 13 inch, and I'm wondering how fast they are? It's not gonna really be used for gaming. Also, how good is the FaceTime on it? If you have a perfect connection to the internet is the FaceTime (Camera) on it really good where there will be no lag?

The speed really depends on how tied up the network is, if you have 4 other people using the same network than it will be a little slow but not much. When I'm the only one on mine its pretty fast. Face Time works great I use it a lot! The camera is pretty clear but sometimes gets fuzzy with fast movements. I hope this helped :D

"How fast" is a very vague question. Lag will depend on your connection speed and it may be fast for multitasking but not for playing games on it, it's all down to what you do with it.

It will seem fast at first, but it will start to slow down when Apple decides you need to buy the next model.

It's fast, but not as fast as you'd expect. The camera is just average, but good enough.

Go look at what happened to iPhones, iPods, and the like after a new model came out. It's not because of better hardware, there should not be too much of a difference.

3 new MacBook generations have been introduced since my model, and I've had no problems with speed/productivity or getting support from Apple. I think that the "encouraging" part is true, but not the making it obsolete.

Very true :D
It's really all up to how you take care of it, keeping it clean and free of trash. You can get away by reformatting or replacing your hard drive.

The speed you mentioned, such as gaming/facetime are depending on your internet connection and not on the processing speed of your computer.

It's about time you get a damn Mac kiddo. You'll be happy with it for what you need it for :yeah:

my macbookpro 13 is 3 years old and still running fine. My mom has one too and no issues. I only use it for web and video. I have a PC tower for the little amount of PC gaming that I do.
