Not yet, but it's something which Canonical are attempting to facilitate in the near future, along with Ubuntu for 'smart' televisions. Information on Ubuntu for Android is available here (http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/android). There is also a Wikipedia page with further details, to be found here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_for_Android).

Technically Android is based off of Linux so you kind of already have it in a way.

Ubuntu is resource heavy.

Android is good on its own.

I think theres something ubuntu attempted with installing ubuntu over android and then you can connect it to your PC to use it as if your phone is your PC.

hmm... I've never had an issue with Ubuntu being resource hogging...

I've never had android but apparently you can now install android on a normal PC >_>

That's because you have a faster processor and a lot of fast RAMs.

As far as I know, the only Android device that Ubuntu can be installed on is the Nexus 7. Really it is only meant for developers. If Ubuntu is installed on the Nexus 7 it will reformat the drive and you will only have Ubuntu.

Aha sick
It's almost as cool as installing android on iPhone or iPhone on android
My boyfriend did that once it was cool however very unstable
There will probably be many beta releases of this before they release the official project

No, my RAM is ridiculously slow.

I am talking about the RAM. If it is a DDRI - then it will be slow, and you will have hard time using Ubuntu. If it is a DDRII - you will see improvement. On DDR3, you will see heaven.

Ubuntu works best on a 1 GB RAM system, but will work smoother on a fastest model.

yeah i actually like to heavily modify the system, often times I end up replacing the entire graphics engine with one that I like better lol
