Facebook and Zynga to end close relationship

Facebook and Zynga have amended an agreement that gave the games developer strong access to the social network's one billion users.

Zynga is the developer behind Farmville, a game once mostly played on Facebook, which at its peak attracted 82 million players a month.

Zynga now has its own games platform, but players will no longer be able to share their progress on Facebook.

Well commercially they've shot themselves in the foot, whether Zynga and Facebook are connected is irrelevant, having users be able to post their progress is basically free advertising. I reckon that Zynga will suffer dramatically from this, but like others said, who cares?

Gah, I hate Farmville! instead of sitting in front a computer and gardening why dont you go outside and actually do it! I love gardening! Everything from roses to Zucchini!!! I am happy that they are ending their partnership!

I have played the zynga poker. But honestly I don't play a whole lot of facebook games. I mean farmvile and all that sorta stuff just bores or annoys me after awhile. Facebook games are pretty dull.

I turned my notifications off a long time ago when I re-activated my facebook.
