Lately, I have been having earaches. Sometimes it is both ears, but usually just one. My mom brought me to the doctors, and he said they were fine, and that I didn't have an ear infection. I take Tylenol, sometimes. But that is the only pain medication that I can take. Any ideas on how to make them go away?

Ear infections are bacterial, next time when you're having one, go back to the doctor and make him realise that you're actually having these and they are becoming a problem.
I've had ear infections before and they don't really go away without some sort of treatment, usually ear drops perscribed by your doctor.
Good luck.

Thanks. This happened when i was about 5-6 too. And i got tubes put in my ear. I got them to improve my hearing and to stop the ear infections. Is it possible that I might need them again? I haven't noticed a decrease in my hearing.

Do you mean gromits by any chance? And I don't know if you might need them again, they're usually put in if the person has problems such as wax build up and narrow ear canals. Maybe that's something else you could discuss with your doctor.

I could be talking about gromits. I have no idea. I probably do have wax build up. Im deathly afraid of q-tips. The doctor has mentioned about if I get the same problems I had when i was younger, possibly having to undergo surgery. although he hasn't mentiond this lately.
