Have any of you heard of humble bundle?
They allow you to buy a bundle of content (usually games) for as little or as much as you choose. That's right, you can buy like 8 games for a PENNY. These are full games, not demos. However, the developers of said games make little to nothing when you only pay a penny. So consider paying at least the average because if you do you often unlock a special, more expensive game. Like for example, the average was $5.61, so I paid $5.65 and I unlocked Saint's Row The Third for paying over the average amount. In addition to Saint's Row I also got the other 5 games!
Sweet deal
TL;DR: Click here (http://humblebundle.com) and buy games for practically nothing.

Looks like an alright selection of games this year, but I don't think I'll be getting them, since I'm not into games like Saints Row, and I haven't heard of the others. A lot of my friends are rather pissed off that they cant donate less than $1 now, so at least they're stepping up a bit. The game makers deserve a lot more.

I heard of this last year, and although I considering buying it, I didn't. I might this year though, who knows...

Nothing there I wanted D:
>Saints Row The Third
>Company of Heroes games
>Metro 2033
>not wanting any of these games
I seriously...don't know what to say.
I'm not going to buy into the THQ deal. I already own some of the games in the bundle, plus the only other incentive would be to get the soundtracks (which I can find somewhere else). I also don't enjoy that it's a Windows only bundle, and though I have no major gripe with that, it would be nice to see Mac ports for these games. THQ is really missing on a good market with Mac and Linux.
For the most part, I get the regular indie bundles. I've gotten IV, V, and 6 in the Indie series, the 4th of the Android series, and the one for eBooks. It's a wonderful way to buy games and also be directing where your money goes.

So what's the catch?
What catch? Get a few games at whatever price you want to pay. Get direct downloads for three different platforms (Linux, Windows, Mac), soundtracks in flac and mp3 format, and redeemable keys to use on the Steam delivery service. Oh, and also the chance to donate money to charities like Child's Play Charity and the Red Cross.
Each bundle also has deals where if you pay more the the current minimum, you get an extra game along with the soundtrack for it. Usually six days in, they'll add three or four more to the bundle.

This feels like a scam, why is it so cheap?

It's not. The reason it's cheap is because it's a pay what you want service. If you want to pay only 4 dollars, you pay that much. If you want to pay more, you can pay more. It's far from a scam.

Humble Indie Bundle 7 is now up! The ones to look out for in this one: Closure, Shank 2, The Binding of Isaac (with Wrath of the Lamb expansion!), Dungeon Defenders (with all DLC), Legend of Grimrock, Snapshot, and Indie Game: The Movie. Right now the average price is $6.41, so jump on it now or wait a few more days to see if anything new gets added.
Also, if you're using the Ubuntu Software Center to download the DRM free versions of the games, note that The Binding of Isaac and Dungeon Defenders can not be downloaded through the service. Dungeon Defenders is actually OVER the size limit for USC, and The Binding of Isaac is not being sold on the service because Edmund McMillen has just recently been fucked over by USC for not being told that Super Meat Boy was being sold (and he wasn't paid). So if you want either of those on Linux, you have to download the debs or tarballs.
