I'm 14 and am in a relationship with my girlfriend of 14 as well. We have been together for 1 yr and 3 months (nearly 4 months) and to be honest - we have done things. We've known each other for many years and trust each other loads. It is Illegal to have sex until the age of 16 in my country of residence but the country I am from it is 14/15 years. I have great school life and I did tell 2 of my closest friends finding out that they had also done things and it made me feel not as bad.

What do you think about being underage though and do you think that it is a bad thing at my age because I believe that "You cannot put an age of Love and Love does lead to weird and uncontrollable moments together"?

Sorry - but whatever you believe and what freinds might say or boast about - the law is the law -

But in the way I guess - just take care and enjoy the love

Be safe, always wrap it up...don't want a kid at 14 do you?

I had sex at fourteen with a guy, it wasn't that great. If you feel that you are in love then go for it, but be safe! Personally I think people younger than fourteen having sex is wrong - male to male sex is illegal until you are eighteen here. I have still done it, and people still do too.

Not true at all.

The age of consent is 16 in the UK for hetero as well as homsexual activity. Under normal circumstances the crown will not prosecute underage sex where both partners are under 18. Only when one of you is over 18 and one partner is under 16 is there potential for prosecution. More facts here. (http://www.fpa.org.uk/professionals/factsheets/lawonsex)

Sorry that's my mistake, it is indeed sixteen.

Well, if it's illegal, it's illegal. But if you do decide to go through on this choice, make sure you use protection. And above all, ask yourself this: Are you ready to deal with the consequences? My sister got pregnant when she was 19. Though she had always wanted to start a family at a fairly young age, it ruined her chances of going to college. I'd never want to ruin my chances for the future that I have imagined for myself. Anyway, weigh all the pros and cons to see if it is worth it or not...

I don't think the law is the first thing that comes to mind with teenagers when it comes to sex, but I do not believe you can be persecuted since both of you are underage, only when one person is underage does it become an issue.

But ignoring the law, I don't think you should have sex anyway. At 14 you just aren't ready to deal with the consequences that can result from it. Sex is a pretty special thing, its not just about getting someone pregnant. To be honest, you almost certainly won't end up marrying this girl, so the breakup will be pretty harsh if you have sex, especially for the girl, because you will feel that you've given something special to someone who you no longer feel deserved it. I'd wait until you were older, 14 is just so young and your still rapidly developing, not even close to being an adult. You won't be able to handle the consequences if something were to go wrong, but mostly I think the emotional and future consequences might hurt you the most.

Well of course if your underage, or ILLEGAL. Then it's bad. But if you have to do "things" do your things safe, and responsible.

If you live in the US the age of consent is different in all states and DC, and the age is also different for Homosexuals.

In the Great State of NM the age of consent in 17, but for homosexuals its around 14-15.

I would say it's alright but don't take it all the way to sex unless you use protection. It's still a risky situation, but at least be safe.

The law shouldn't find out if you do it privately, and with a condom. If you feel like you want to do it, don't let anyone stop you

the age of consent varies in the US so much.....and the law is the law but sex is still prevalent among teens with teens....the law was meant to protect kids from older predators to be honest, not necessarily from each other....actually, Dannyboi, the age in your state is the lowest in the US at 13 for both boys and girls.....if you need to know.....this is a chart you can refer to http://www.ageofconsent.com/ageofconsent.htm ... just be safe no matter what your age or sexuality...

if you are BOTH below the consent age nothing will happen...if one is below and the other is above then it is a possible issue.

It's illegal but there is not much anyone can do, loads of people have underage sex as long as you use protection and you are both happy there is no problem

Its illegal, but the cops aren't going to scope you out because they have a feeling you're doing stuff. Just be careful and have fun.

Personally, I can't see nothing wrong with it- although that doesn't change the laws. Laws have been made for a reason- to protect the vulnerable and prevent damage (both personal, to property, and to society) and nobody can be exempt from it just because they're in love.

Most of the points have been said. You're both 14, and the law is probably more geared to protect you if one of you was older than the other (EG if one of you was over the age of 20, that would be wrong). In your case, you are both more likely (if caught) to end up in a hell of a lot of trouble from your parents. If you are going "all the way", the biggest risk is your gf becomming pregnant at 14. People here just saying no won't stop you from doing it, so any form of birth control is merrited

In my opinion I do see the point in waiting until 16 but then if you are both around the same age i dont know. If you were dont force the other in to doing it make sure you are both ready and want to. Use protection
