First date with a guy

I met this guy and we started flirting a little bit. We decided to make plans for a date. So we went to the movies. During which, he holds my hand and even rubs my leg once in a while. I've never dated a guy before so this is slightly out of my comfort zone. Not that I don't like guys, (that would be absurd to have gone on a date) but I can't help but feeling that this is too fast for a first date. He's had much more experience with guys than I. By the end, he attempts to kiss me. I reject him, both out of my inexperience with guys and the fact that it's a first date. He wants to go out again, and I like him, I'm just concerned that he might not know what he wants more (a shot at a relationship vs. getting lucky.)

Would a second date be a bad idea?

could be he's just looking to get lucky or just feeling you out to see how far you'll let things go. its away to see what kind of person you are.

sure I'd go on another date just to see how things go.

He knows my apprehension. And he tells me that he's mostly aiming for long term, wether it be with me or someone else (this the point of a date) so what does that tell me?
