Is it normal for me to think about my sexuality practically all day long? Is it maybe because its new to me? I also catch myself thinking about my crush almost half of the school day to. Is this normal?

Indeed, as a teenager it's quite common to find yourself constantly dwelling on one issue and feeling like there's nothing else in the world- I think we've all been there.

It can get to be quite unhealthy, though, so I think you need to find something to distract yourself with- a hobby or something. Your sexuality is obviously quite important, and I'm in no way telling you not to think of it, but you just need to let nature take its course and live your life, rather than letting this issue take control of you.

As for your crush, lol yeah I completely know what you mean. And again I'll say you should make an effort to put your mind on other things.

Another thing I've noticed in myself is that if you think too much about something, a crush for example, you can convince yourself of quite radical ideas- they're obsessed with you, they hate you, etc. So yeah, in a nutshell it's completely normal, but don't 'get lost in thought'- remember to stay in the real world! :daisy:

this is very normal. i spend half the day in a daze often thinking about my girlfriend. when you have a crush on someone it can cause to lose focus on things and concentrate on them all the time instead of what you are supposed to be doing. this is not just restricted to puberty either, its right through life.

Haha, it's normal. I think about my crush CONSTANTLY. When I first realized I was gay that's all I ever thought abotu too. Was, I'm gay. I liek guys. That guys cute. Just the same thing over nad over. Don't worry, you're normal.

I think about my crushes all day, and fantasize about them at night all the time.(yes I said crushes, eh I only have two of them, does that make me bad? o.O) So I pray that its normal; but yeah, could you be a little more clear on what you mean by thinking about sexuality? Do you mean trying to figure what your sexuality is, or do you just analyze it in your head? I don't exactly get what you mean by that. But yes, it is one hundred and ten percent normal to think about your crush all the time, at least 70% of all single human beings do that.

Everyone thinks about sex and their orientation, its perfectly normal. We all want to know if we are gay or not. I for one know now that I am straight, but i still think about it alot.
