Final response paper -- need HELP

This is the last response paper that needs to be written for my Women and Lit class. There are two prompts, and I decided to choose the second.

PROMPT:
Though science fiction is usually set in the future, it is often written so as to offer social commentary on the present moment. Select some feature of how The Hunger Games is written and describe what commentary it provides (and how it provides it) on a social issue relevant today.


I am completely clueless on how to start. Can you guys help provide helpful links to websites that will help me write 750 words or more of this prompt??? And also other helpful tips? This is due next Tues and I want a good grade on it. Not that a 15/15 would even improve my grade as I've already utterly failed the class but I don't want to get another super low score :(

Well, I do not want to give you too many unfair tips but.....
Wait...you....did not check Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hunger_Games#Themes)? Anyway, a subject (I actually thought of this!) that you could ponder: the people of the Capitol. Who do they represent? What about the Syrian civil war (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syrian_civil_war) making the headlines recently? (Well, at least for me!) Note you can not use that example as the novel was written in 2006.
Now it's rant time. 750 words? What year are you in? Also, stop being so lazy.
