Does anyone listen to the genre? I listen to it a good bit, even though I listen to other kinds especially death and gothic metal. What are your favorite bands? Mine are Death, Mastodon, Opeth, Enslaved (kind of black metal-ish), Dir En Grey and Tool.

This is my favourite sub-genre of metal, most of my favourite bands are progressive metal.

I love SikTh, TesseracT, Fellsilent, Monuments, Meshuggah, Destiny Potato, Heart of a Coward and Vildhjarta. These guys are the best.

I'm not really familiar with progressive metal, but my favorite is also tool.
A couple other bands I like are "Rush" and "10 years"
