what age were you when you shopped yourself for clothes

Maybe parents still buy - or give you cash.

I was 13 and used my allowance. Now that I have my own job, I use my own money (:

When I started picking out my own clothes, I probably would have been about 9 or 10, I reckon. I don't remember exactly, but Mum definitely would have come with me and bought it for me.

Even now, the majority of the time, my Mum comes with me when I buy clothes. I'll pick it out, try it on, and she'll pay for it. It's pretty rare I actually buy my own clothes. I don't have a job and regular allowance never really worked in our house. I'm still pretty dependent on Mum, even at almost 17. :P

Sometimes I'll buy something with money I get for Christmas or my birthday, but aside from that, my mom still pays for my clothes.

Thanks all - I guess Mums enjoy the shopping thing - hope so.

I like clothes shopping with Mum its much less hassle - and quicker - I could not imagine going on my own at all.

I started buying my own clothes when I was 12. My mom would pay for some of it, depending on whether the item was a want or a need. After I got my own job my mom actually started paying for more of my clothes, now she pays for about half of them, which I hope never stops!

I've yet to buy myself clothes. Mom always does it. Shoes, clothes, jackets, coats. I'm not in a hurry to do it myself, I'm not exactly good at that kind of shopping.

My dad gives me money and I go and buy my clothes myself, and I'm 19 hahaha. I'm forever being spoilt by my dad - not that I'm complaining. :P

As a kid, I didn't really enjoy shopping for clothes; my mom would pick most of my things out. Then around 13/14ish I starting picking out my own things. Now, I have my own money, so I do what I want with it.

Heh, I'm nearly 16, my mum buys for me, but I'm really picky and can't go out into busy shops as I can't stand crowds, so I normally end up showing her what I want and she buys it :P, used to want the independence but I'm happy the way it is now.

The only time I went shopping alone was when I was 12-13. I bough a cute, plain white summer dress, and that's it.
To be honest I never liked to shop on my own. I always shop with my mom around because she usually helps me and gives me ideas and such but I'm the one who decides what to buy.
