Well, for me, I've been diagnosed with clinical depression, so part of it is managed with medication. Aside from that, some things that can help are things like doing art or writing. Both of those can really help get your feelings out and express yourself in a healthy manner. I might also suggest going to talk to a counselor, who will do their best to help you with what you're going through and feeling. Personally, just having someone there to talk to, and listening to music, is what I usually do to deal with it. There's lots of other ways you can cope as well, these are just some suggestions.

Basically this.
Medication, talking (sometimes) and writing. Writing can get the things out of your head there for you to see that they are something and they can be dealt with. That's the way I see it anyways.
It's also something to do when you're trying to keep your mind off other things, write about anything!

I have always found when feeling depressed to set myself a target or a goal and put as much time and effort into it to achieve it. It works. It takes your mind off things and gives you something to look forward too and when you achieve it you feel good. Now obviously you need to set yourself something doable.

talk to people , text a friend , start a hobby or something you like, listen to music!
if you keep yourself busy you wont think much of it , if you feel its getting worse get help and remember you are not alone and its just a feeling it will get better in time
