Connection problem

Has anyone been having connection problems? I just got on VT and haven't been able to get on for the past 15 min...this happened 2 other times today. I just couldn't get on VT -- Chrome tells me it couldn't connect. I know it's not the internet because I can browse other sites without a problem.

Yeah, it's done that to me today, as well as a variety of other people. I'm not entirely sure what it is, as it only seems to be happening to some people (both in the USA and in other countries).

You're not the only one. I just checked out Google Chrome forums - same thing happened with a couple of users but they still don't have a resolution yet.

Here is one of what the users there said, which might help you.

"I have a problem streaming Netflix on Chrome.
I think its because of the anti-virus (AVG free version). I tried opening it in IE and it still gave me the same error N8151. the movie information gets downloaded, connection speed gets fully tested, but just after buffering starts, i get a screen that says - digital rights management error!
The same thing happened on firefox too.
So, i called netflix and they made me add netflix.com as an exception (trusted site) in IE. Now, i can stream movies on IE but not Chrome or firefox.

This happens sometimes, it happened to me too earlier. It's mostly just a problem with how your ISP is connecting to VT. It usually passes within a few minutes.

This happens sometimes, it happened to me too earlier. It's mostly just a problem with how your ISP is connecting to VT. It usually passes within a few minutes.

Yeah, this is most likely the cause.

I had this happen to me once or twice. I think if it was happening constantly at a certain time or when something was happening then it would be a cause for concern but its probably just something random that should pass after a short period of time.

It seemed that last night it was mostly people with comcast struggling. Not totally, but for the most part. As said, yeah, an isp issue probably.

Yeah, I've been having connection issues too. I don't know any of this tech speak, so I'm going with the popular theory and saying it was probably ISP.

I can't definitely say that it's an ISP issue; but that's what it seems to be. I asked a number of people to try using proxies and everything worked fine for them so I'm fairly sure everything is okay on our end of things. The site hasn't gone down for everybody and the times when it seems to be acting up there isn't a significant change in the number of users online -- which continues to make me think that it's an issue with your ISP.
