Alright, if u want to know more about me read my signature.

I've got an overbite. And my Mom wants me to get braces to correct it. And really, I do too in a way, Cause at times my jaw hurts from sitting at a wrong angle. Also I think it may look cool to have braces.

Thing is, ill have to have two teeth pulled from the roof of my mouth. Will this hurt?

Also, does it hurt when u first get ur braces on?

And what color braces do u think I should get on my second trip to tightn the braces? I like blue myself cause I have blue eyes.

:)

well, pulling teeth didnt hurt when i had to get mine out for braces, they numbed the side of my mouth so i barely felt them get it out, but braces yeah, not to scare you but they are going to hurt the first few nights to get them on and the first few nights after each visit

ive never had my teeth pulled out but when i got braces, at first, everything i tried to bite hurt so bad that i wished my teeth were pulled out. but after a week or so its not so bad. but then the monthly tightenings are a pain too, yet not as bad as to start.

I have heard Braces hurt for a week or two.

Color, Orange!!! Orange is awesome!
Lime Green also looks awesome
Or your school colors :P

As for the teeth pulling, I have had 1 tooth pulled, it didn't hurt to badly.
For me the worst part is when they stick the needle in my mouth. The actual (whatever they do to me) doesn't hurt at all, but the needle hurts like he77

Not trying to brag, but I was born with the gift of perfect teeth that my dentist is even amazed by.
Due to that, I can't really relate to any of what you are going through, so sorry.
That being said, I have seen countless friends get braces and get teeth pulled, and I have to say that the first few weeks of having braces seems to be the most excruciatingly painful time for them because of the new metal digging into their gums.
Getting teeth pulled, while sounding terrible is actually a much smaller deal then it's made out to be. You are pumped full of numbing meds so it won't hurt, and usually will get some pain pills to take home, so you'll never even be in pain! ;)

for the first year when I had braces, I had different colors and everything, but toward the last year I just got silver to match with the metal. Braces hurt the second day and not the first which i think is odd. and ive never had a tooth pulled. I'm scheduled to have my wisdom teeth pulled on December fifth though

Getting teeth pulled doesnt really hurt all that much, at least it didn't for me. I had braces for almost 6 years, my mouth was a hot mess. I'll be honest, it hurts like hell every time they tighten them, which is about once a month, it'll hurt horribly bad for the first day and it sucks a little the second, the third day you won't notice it all that much. You get used to it. I'm glad I got them, my teeth still don't look all that great cause my jaw is fucked up and my top set of teeth are slanted which causes me to still hide my smile, but at least my teeth arent all over the place anymore. It'll be worth it, trust me!

Also, you'll get to change colors every time. I was always the person that changed my colors according to the season, i.e. orange/black in october, red green in december... haha, but it was pretty fun to change your colors all the time!

*this is coming from a guy who wore braces for 2.5 years*
so i got my braces out last monday so that is awesome.

but when they pull your teeth out, they will numb your gum so you won't feel it. it will sting when they use the numbing substance. as for the braces, it will hurt the first week, at most first 2 weeks, but after that your mouth gets use to them. And they usually give a small box of wax to place on the braces if they dig into your mouth tissue.

They aren't that bad! I had a horrible orthodontist to start with before I transferred, but the worst part of it was being numb for half the day. They'll be uncomfortable at first but think of it this way - thousands of us kids have all gone through and lived through it. It really isn't bad at all.

I got mine done silver just to keep it a little more discrete (not really, but my logic is usually quite illogical)

Don't stress about it, it's really not that bad. I have completely fucked up teeth, but I've had my braces on for nearly 3 months and they're already looking so much better.

The teeth pulling won't hurt, as the dentist will use a numbing gel so that you don't feel anything. I had to get like 3 rounds of teeth removal, and trust me, it's not as bad as you would imagine. It's over in 10 minutes.

The actual fitting of the braces is a little uncomfortable, but it's completely painless and all you have to do is lay back and let the orthadontist do their job. Once the braces are on, all you have to worry about it the wire occasionally jabbing you, but that's easily fixed with wax. :D

Basically what everyone else says. I haven't had any teeth removed but braces suck. I could only eat/drink liquid stuff for first few days. After that its only bad after they tightened them. Also make sure you brush really well because gunk can get trapped in it. My dentist told me to use listerine also. Good luck.
