Mmm... So we have the report button to get to minus of reps... So what about a like button which will serve the purpose of increasing ur reps??? Just a suggestion... And it wud be great if you check out the reports with ur hands and eyes until you get the points to minus.... :)

No, the report button doesn't lower your rep points. The rep button does. That's the little set of scales in the bottom left corner of your post. You can choose to plus rep or minus rep someone. So what you're asking for is already there.

To extend on to what Alex has said, the report button that you're talking about has nothing to do with rep. The report button is only to report breaches of rules, spam, et cetera.
Nobody actually oversees the rep that is given out unless you report it to the Administrator. (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/member.php?find=lastposter&f=133)

Reports do not, will not, and should not lower your reputation. If they do, then that is a big problem, and you should discuss this in private with an administrator.
