What live shows/concerts have you been to and are you going to? And what do you rate them out of 10? And also where were you? (i.e Golden Circle, General Standing, Sitting etc.)

For me it is:

U2 360 Tour (2011) General Standing - 9/10
Coldplay (2011) Good seated tickets - 9/10
Kings of Leon (2011) Good seated tickets - 7/10
Sting: Back to Bass (2012) there were only seated tickets (ours were the best in the house) - 8/10 (I got his guitarist's pick at this one!)

And I went to a one-night show that had the following lineup: (2012) Golden Circle

KONGOS - 9/10
Eagles of Death Metal - 10/10
Enter Shikari - 8/10
Seether - 8/10
Bullet for my Valentine - 10/10


And I have Golden Circle for both Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica for next year! :D I am so excited!

Oh and... The Red Hot Chili Peppers show is going to be on my birthday!

Big & Rich - Sitting - 2/10, I was forced to go, I hated it and I got a migraine, but the lemonade was good.

And a bunch of local bands and rock offs, too many to name.

Radio 2 Festival (Jessie J, Emeli Sande, Status Quo, Tom Jones etc) - 4/10 - only went for my friend.
Ed Sheeran - 5/10 - Paid £80 for my friend, again.
Lostprophets - 9/10 - one of the best nights of my life

Hopefully:
Papa Roach/Stone Sour in December
Yellowcard in March
I know of some other bands that are touring near me, hopefully I'll get some tickets.

Soundwave 2011 was my first. It was fucking fantastic. It's an Australian rock/metal/punk/everything in between kind of festival. I saw:

I would disregard most of the ratings, I don't exactly have a great memory over the span of four years.

Nightwish (2): 10/10, maybe a bit lower for the second. The first one was my first-ever concert. Not that they weren't astounding, but the second one being quite recently, I was less blown-away.
It was also like a month before Anette left. Part of me feels special, the other part wishes I could have seen Floor Jansen live. Also caught Emppu's pick!
Blue October (2): 8/10. Again, probably enjoyed the first concert more, but I was also there with a friend.
The Airborne Toxic Event (2): TATE always blows my dad and I out of the water. Even HE thinks they're amazing live artists, and he's not so easy to impress when it comes to music. The first concert, I actually won a contest, got the tickets free. Literally found out the day of the concert that I won. Met Anna, Mikel, and Steven.
Emilie Autumn (3): just fucking infinity/10. The best show I've ever been to, show. Cut out Phantom of the Opera, and that counts musicals. ESPECIALLY the second and the third, because I met the darling woman those two times. Meeting her a third time next year.
Imogen Heap (2): Hmm. I'd say 9/10 and 10/10. Second time, I met her.
HIM: 8/10. Love HIM, but there was too much weed in the venue and Ville looked a bit bored singing at the mic stand in his beanie hat.
The Dresden Dolls: 10/10. Met Amanda and Neil Gaiman, two birds with one stone! Asked Amanda for a hug, and she hugged me. And got a picture with my favourite author.
Epica: Hmm. I'm not a giant Epica fan, but I guess 7/10? Simone is hot.
100 Monkeys: 10/10. Entertaining show, met the entire band.
The Birthday Massacre: 8/10. Chibi's a better studio vocalist, and I didn't even get a full concert because they were opening for Dir En Grey and I sure as hell didn't want to stay for them.
Amanda Palmer and the Grand Theft Orchestra: 10/10, AFP's stage dive <3 And they did the signing at that show as well.

Let me tell you what benefits my music taste gives me, other than just liking the music of course. Count them, SEVEN concerts after which I met the band/members. Autographs at all of them. As well, I get a front-row spot pretty much four out of five times without camping out for a week. Depending on the show, a four to six hour wait to get front-centre? Nightwish is more difficult, but I've been in the third and second rows.

Got VIP tickets for Emilie Autumn postponed to Janurary. I may also go to the Bloc Party as well, for nostalgia's sake.

I missed out on tickets for that, but from what I've seen it was an incredible show.

I've only ever been to Taylor Swift's Speak Now tour. It was good. I don't think Taylor could hear herself singing over the audience though.

Well, I think you've missed out on something really amazing! The interesting thing is that it's not just the concert, but it's an entire experience-- buying tickets, lining up for like four hours, meeting and talking to people in the line, and enjoying the show, and the great audience. Although my seats were pretty far, the show was still spectacular at the least :)
