Facebook is set to remove the ability for users to vote on changes to its data privacy policy, in a move that has angered campaigners.

In an email to all members, Facebook said it wanted a "more meaningful" way for users to give feedback.

The site has also proposed combining information across its other services, such as photo-sharing app Instagram.

After reading the link, this isn't gonna be good for anybody. They already have the ability to link our names, our 411 and faces because we did it for them. Someday there will be facial recognition software running like what is used in London to catch criminals so someday it'll be pretty easy to track where we are all the time. At some point, criminals will hack the system and be able to track us as well either by FaceBook, through facebook combined with GPS on our phones.

Effectively, we've become willing participants in tracking what we do, where we go, what we buy etc. which isn't bad until it's used for the wrong reasons or to take advantage of us.
