Yea, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. The only way to keep your voice from cracking I've found is to speak softly, but that doesn't really work in a play. Just ignore it, pretend it never happened, and the audience will do the same. No one will make a big deal about it unless you bring attention to it.

It sucks, but if you don't take yourself to seriously it's not bad at all. If it cracks, and people laugh. Give a little smile. Don't freak out!

If this is singing, then you had better get used to it! Before my voice broke I was a boy soprano, now I am sliding into the baritenor role but my singing voice is still changing, I could end up as a baritone or a tenor.

Sorry, but there is nothing you can do about it. A agree with everyone else... don't bring attention to it. To the mature people in the audience, they will know that it's a part of life and most of the males have probably gone through the same thing. Good luck!

Thank you so much everyone! And, luckily its a comedy play. If you want to look it up, its called, The Ever After. My parts are Sam, Pat, &, Beth!

I also do dance and drama the best thing is to not push your voice so hard... also staying away from dairy products and citrus... and halls it really helps soothe the throat. But with the cracking your just going to have to get through it. I with you the best of luck, Break a leg!

Know the feeling we had a school drama class thing for parents just when my voice was cracking - and squeaking - I got some throat sweets

and just went for it - try to breathe well and dont eat beforehand.

Don't worry about it, nothing you can really do to keep it from happening.

Find a way to work it into your characters. I also act, and I find that if something weird happens on stage like I get tongue-tied or my voice were to randomly break, that it can usually be easily worked into the character and make for some nice comedy or improv.

Just remember, when you're up on stage, you are not you. You are a character. If the characters voice breaks, just roll with it. :)

There's nothing you can do. Most people will understand and probably not think twice about it. Just push through it.

There's nothing you can do to prevent your voice from cracking. I'm sorry but thats the truth.
