Nintendo warns against Wii U update being interrupted

Owners of Nintendo's new Wii U console have been facing lengthy waits to make full use of it because they need to install a large firmware update.

The software - which adds features including access to the Miiverse social network - is about one gigabyte large, and must be downloaded via the net.

I think that the Wii was a miserable failure for Nintendo, not to mention the Wii U. The Wii is the perfect combination of horrible graphics and boring games. I played my old Wii for about a month or so, then I got miserably bored with it.

first off, that is showed for only one month and not even in America. secondly, But then people saw how much it sucked lol

But the sales for the Wii when it first came out were 97 million units, when the first Playstation came out it was 102.5 million units

yeah i agree with most of u guys i only know like 3 out of 50 ppl that still play the wii and thats only cause there are little kids the house lol. nintendo needs to pull out of the game system race like the said they would at last years e3(2011) the have poor graghics, there games pretty much all suck, and there are already having problems with a system that was just brought out like last week or 2 weeks ago.

And you expect this to matter...why? Everyone knows Nintendo sales are HUGE in Japan. They always have been. On top of that, presenting us five year old sales figures doesn't matter.

Oh, not at all. But certainly using a picture detailing the sales of the original Wii from five years ago mean nothing now. The Wii still underwhelmed a lot of people, despite the potential it had.

I'm just so confused in general by the Wii U. I thought the wii was made to stop the dread" video game slobs" and get us moving. But here they're giving us some giant light weight tablet looking handheld thingy.

I wonder how many people will be rushing like mad for it...
