I'm sure there are a lot of people here from different countries, so It will be nice if everyone will put 2-3 popular songs from his country, so we will know how the music sounded even in far away countries in the next side of the world :yeah::yeah:

So i'm from Israel, here are some songs I really really like:

A singer called Roni Dalumi, she won the 7th season of "Israeli Idol". the song called "Hold Me":

I listen to a lot of French, German and Spanish music. Then again, I speak the languages, so I can enjoy it. ;] For example, Shy'm, Coeur de Pirate, Zahu are all amazing french songstresses. German is tricky. Not many come out that are really good, and the German language sounds weird in song. :X Silbermond is good, so is Juli. Spanish music! OH I love Spanish! There's Belanova, Reik....and so so so many more that I am just overwhelmed!

i am from Finland and here is some finnish music:

Symphonic Metal: Nightwish(the band that created the genre of Symphonic Metal) two of their best songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SO4LyKd-Hws and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcyTR5mEC_E

heavy metal: Lordi(winners of the 2006 eurovision music contest) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGe8qID9gSs

folk metal: Korpiklaani(these guys are probably drunk when they create their songs) three good songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7kJRGPgvRQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdgLR9RttZQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZbucSufNm4

so by now you can see that finland has a tone of metal bands, but we do have rock, rappers(in finland hip hop and rapping are pretty much the same thing), gospel, and others. i will post a folk music song, two rock songs, and one or two rappers

so the folk song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sx1vZJSDNHc

first rock band: Sunrise Avenue. their top three songs(imo) I don't dance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95yFN7RkmfE welcome to my life: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATGF1wGq0-0 and their most know song, Hollywood Hills: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIzEEhZkthY

second rock band: The Rasmus: their top three songs (imo) in the shadows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ao2u7F_Qzg No Fear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cgAegw0ORM and F-F-F Falling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcB0LNrMFW4

first rapper: Elastinen(propably Finland's best rapper) Anna Soida(let it play): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIOQtQqd8_o
Mikä Boogie(what a beat)(this is him and his partner) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFCJBhj6ooc

second rapper: Pikku G(he was a top finnish rapper, before he got arrested, but his music is still good) Shala-la-la https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wplPDVBnSU4 Me Ollaan Nuoriso(we are the youth) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCdry6OQNtw

along with these, finland has pop, reggea, gospel along with techno and more. there are a lot of youth gospel bands being created when friends turn 15/16 due to something nearly every fin goes through. and most of them continue into playing rock, gospel metal, or something else. but finland has a tone of music.
