My parent's aren't open at all which has made this entire process challenging. I've been educated in school what to expect from puberty, safe sex practices, std's and all that, but nothing from my parents.

My mum bought me my first condoms, she wanted me to be safe having sex. I know that I can talk to my parents about it all, but I don't really feel the need too. They always answered my question when I was young, so there was no need for them to ask me any. I am sure that they don't want to know anyway!

Well, out of both my parents, I've only met one which would be my mother. Which thus gives her the mentality that she has to be my Mom & Dad, and what not. Bottom line is, she is really open. To the point where it makes me feel kind of awkward to speak with her, so yeah I keep it all private. Though I'd assume she'd be perfectly fine discussing anything of the sort with me, as we've touched similar subjects, but not directly.

No, but it's good that they make an effort to educate you on safe sex. My parents mostly try to avoid talking about anything like that.

My dad does, and it kind of freaks me out. My mom on the other hand. wouldn't DARE bring sex up. And I dont blame her, too awkward.

The only time they've asked me is when they found a used condom which I had tried on just to be sure they fit. It was awkward but I was honest and it made it easier

Mine are always asking about my body hair. I'm like, well i don't hide it, so next time just look and don't bother to ask lol.. I mean, come on we have a pool..
And my dad buys me condoms, so he knows I'm sexually active.. So no use there..

No, not really.
They asked if I had any questions, but they never asked anything in detail. I was pretty open about any concerns though

my parents have been very open with all of us (I have 3 brothers ---1 older and twins younger)...plus I came out when I was like 13 1/2 to them so a lot of discussions have been held about safe sex and everything, and even with my younger brothers ... every family is different I guess....and your parents only want you to be safe as you go through puberty and older

my parents ask that kind of thing sometimes too. Your dad asked that because he knows youre gonna get laid soon and wants the best for you.

My parents have found porn, condoms, vibrating penis rings, lube, lotion, male sex toys. Everything in my room!!!!!! And always bring it up. And I'm only 14. LOL. The best thing to do, run to your room and lock your door and play extremely loud music!!!!! LOL. Always works for me! C :

my aunt and uncle ask me more weird questions than my mom and dad do. I have had the talk with both my parents. Its more to make them feel like they are educating and to put their worries at rest then it is to educate me.
