Hey guys, I'm 16 years old and new to this forum, so I'm hoping I can make friends here :)
Any way, I've know I was bi since I was 14-15, but only a few of my friends actually know. The problem is, the school I go to has alot of homophobic people in it, and as much as I want to come out, I'm scared about what might happen. Any advice on how I take care of this?

Well youre in a pretty tough spot. It is good that you have friends that know and will probably try to help you as much as posible. My school is the exact same way and i know a few kids who are still hiding. I feel hella bad for them. I went and talked to one of them whos a friend a few days back and he said he was gonna hold it in until hes out of highschool. If your 16 right now then im guessing youre a junior? Well thats my advise. Even though it cant be good stress wise, you should just hold it out until you graduate. However, im not saying to not come out in highschool. that would actually be the best for you, but it would kill your social life and get you bullied from what youve said avout your school. If you need to sort anything else out, you can drop a visitor message on my page because you cant pm until you have over 100 posts.
best wishes,

In all honesty, I would probably wait until you went off to college. I know what your situation is like--I live it every day. College is a much more accepting atmosphere, and a totally different atmosphere than high school though. As such, people there tend to be more accepting of LGBT people. In the situation you're in, you can come out now and risk the consequences of being a bit alienated for your remaining high school years, or you can just wait until college. I'll be honest, relationships at our age don't tend to last anyway. If you do decide to come out though, I would tell those close to you and see if they accept you, and then try taking it from there. Go slowly if you do decide to come out.

Alrighty then, only a few more months left of school anyways.
Prob is, I like this guy at school, and I don't know if hes into guys or not, so I was wondering of coming out, to make it less awkward. Any advice about that?
