I've never heard of it causing hemmorroids. Pooping doesn't cause hemmorroids, so unless youre using large or crazy objects I dont see why fingering it would. Its all about being relaxed and starting slow, and like somebody else said, lotion helps.

Pooping dosen't cause hemorroids thats because when you poop your not going against the direction for which it's inteneted. and while a single finger well lube will proably not

Well, because of there being so many nerves down there, it does hurt for a little while, but after a few minutes( depending on the day) it gets MUCH better ;D I've been doi'n it since I was bout 12, and believe me, I may be young, but I'm not new to masturbational topics. I've never actually looked up whether or not it causes hemmorrhoids, but I know doctors stick their finger up there for prostate examinations, so I don't think a doctor would do something that would harm you.
